Student Demographic

Rowe-Clark is composed of 580 students ranging from 9th grade to 12th grade. Rowe-Clark students commute from all areas of the City of Chicago and the student population is composed of approximately 1% Asian American, 3% mixed race, 1% Caucasian, 63% African American, and 32% Hispanic students.

Academic Achievements

  • 2 Posse Scholars in the Class of 2011
  • 3 Posse Scholars in the Class of 2012
  • 2011-12 School Year- Increase in composite ACT score to a 19.70.
  • 2011-12 School Year- AP: 9 Advanced Placement courses and exams in all subject areas (125 students enrolled in AP coures)

Other Achievements

  • Rowe-Clark celebrated its first graduating class in June of 2011.
  • Hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Exelon Gymnasium in Fall 2011.
  • Ranked the #9 public high school in Chicago out of 116 open enrollment high schools

Music Achievements

  • May 2009-Recorded first four song CD-group has sold over 200 units so far
  • May 2009 – Group performed for Right Angle Foundation
  • August 2009 Performed for River Forest Country club
  • 2009 performed for John Rowe Award Event downtown Hilton
  • February 23rd performed for Jessie White Tumblers 50th Anniversary at United Center
  • Composer in residence with Randall Woolf of Fulcrum Point New Music Project
  • Feb. 5th 2011 concert with Brooklyn, NY duo Loop 243
  • Drumline performs for John Rowe Retirement party Hilton Chicago Rahm Emmanual-Mayor present.
  • Recorded with RCA recording Artists, the Verve Pipe a new single entitled “Hot Soup” to be released on upcoming kids record.
  • Performed at Lollapolooza 2012 with RCA recording Artists, the Verve Pipe.
